NW Works partnered with the Project Search Program of Winchester to produce a successful internship program for young adults with developmental disabilities. The goal of the program is to provide opportunities for the young adults to gain crucial job skills needed for future employment. Each program participant completed three internships in different departments at Winchester Medical Center. As a result of the program, seven of the eleven graduates have already secured jobs. Additional program partners are area public schools and the Department of Aging and Rehabilitation.
