“City National is passionate about being involved in our community,” Lori Eversole explains. As the title sponsor for the 2019 Farm to Table event benefiting NW Works, Lori is thrilled to be involved with this annual fundraiser. City National has been supporting NW Works for the past 5 years, providing donations and volunteers to special events. “Giving back not only benefits our business, it helps our community and allows our organization to get involved at a local level. The community needs NW Works, and we want to support that mission,” Lori shares.
With 90 branches on the East Coast, City National is passionate about giving back in the regional community. Donating time and talent is a corporate mission and Lori and her team want to make sure events like Farm to Table not only benefit the non-profit, but that the direct impact can be seen and felt. Plus, the City National team likes to have fun. “Farm to Table is an intimate dinner with 200 of your favorite people. Community leaders and business owners mingle and dine with NW Works clients and community. It’s truly a special night,” Lori says of the event.
Over the years Lori and the Farm to Table committee have learned how to do most of the work themselves. In order to cut costs, they assemble a volunteer staff of over 30 people. Food preparation is done by Firefly Café and Bakery, which is owned and operated by NW Works. Live entertainment and wine is also donated and the volunteers make sure the evening runs smoothly. “You have no idea what it takes to serve that many people at the same time, in the middle of the street. It’s a hilarious balancing act, but the feel good factor is overwhelming. From set up, to serving the meal, and then to the clean up, we are all having so much fun and it feels so good to give back,” says Lori.
The City National Fourth Annual Farm to Table is happening on Sunday, September 8th at 4 PM with dinner served on Main Street, Middletown. Limited number of tickets are still available online or at Firefly Café and Bakery. All proceeds benefit NW Works.
