Please join us in welcoming Katrina Pike, NW Works’ newest member of the Board of Directors. Katrina brings a fantastic background not only in Human Resources, but experience working with organizations that support vulnerable populations.

A native of Hollidaysburg, Penn., Katrina earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Mount Aloysius College and her Master of Arts in Executive Leadership from Liberty University. Prior to earning her Masters, Katrina worked for PeerStar, an organization focused on supporting individuals with mental illness and providing peer counseling programs. There, she handled intake and utilization before moving into human resources.
Katrina relocated to the Winchester area in 2019 for her husband’s career as a Virginia State Trooper. Soon after moving, she joined the Trex Company’s human resources team just in time for the COVID-19 pandemic to begin. Handling everything from payroll, recruitment, and COVID-19 tracing protocols, Katrina has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to human resources. Shortly after joining the Board, Katrina transitioned to the Bank of Clarke County as a human resources generalist role.
She credits her time at PeerStar as helping her put the individual ahead of any limitations they might have.
“When I started working at Trex and found out about [NW Works] partnership with Trex, I was really excited,” Katrina said. “I really believe in the financial and developmental sides that come with having a job [and] I love the idea of helping individuals get employment opportunities.”
Katrina is a nature lover who enjoys horseback riding and hiking with her two dogs. She and her husband can often be found checking out farmers markets and new restaurants in the area.
