NW Works, Inc. Appoints Grady Philips, III As New CEO 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WINCHESTER, VA. December 6, 2022– NW Works, Inc. announced today that Grady (Skip) Philips, III has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the organization. With more than 30 years of experience in business leadership, Philips will succeed Debera Taylor and assume responsibilities on January 3, 2023. Taylor left NW Works, Inc. in September 2022 to pursue a role with Laurel Ridge Community College.

Prior to joining NW Works, Inc., Philips served as the President of Winchester Medical Center and Senior Vice President of Valley Health Acute Care and held high-level leadership roles in a variety of healthcare facilities. Philips’ leadership has facilitated clinical growth and expanded access to care through community-based collaborations. 

“The combination of Philips’ experience and skills make him an ideal fit for NW Works, Inc.,” said Samir Jhaveri, the Chair of the NW Works, Inc. Board of Directors. “We are looking forward to Skip leading us through the next phase of growth at NW Works.”

Philips holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration from Georgia State University, as well as Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Chemistry and History from Emory University. He has served the Winchester community both through his accomplished career and through his nonprofit involvement in the region.
