Day Support Services & Community Engagement

Choice Matters

NW Works provides support for individuals with disabilities to reach their employment goals. But we all have the right to make choices about how, when, and if we work. For some clients, programming that helps them to be active in life and in the community is preferable. That’s why we offer Day Support Services.

Through Day Support Services, individuals can choose activities, such as improving life skills, attending community outings, or engaging in other recreational or leisure activities. Some clients choose to work part time and participate in Day Support part time, so options are available to meet every individual’s goals.

Individuals enrolled in this program typically have a Medicaid Waiver, however, private pay options are available. Operating hours for this program are Monday through Friday, 8:15 am – 3:15 pm.

Community is for All

Individuals are encouraged through our community engagement program to participate in meaningful activities in the local community. Depending on the needs and desire of each individual, this program may include travel training, establishing a bank account, volunteering at a local community partner, or even attending a local sporting event or entertainment activity in the broader region. Individuals are encouraged to express their own ideas and desires for community engagement, and the NW Works staff members arrange the opportunities. Operating hours for this program are typically Monday through Friday, 8:15 am – 3:15 pm. Activities that fall outside of these operating hours are discussed on a case by case basis.
