Samir Jhaveri is the Chair of the Board of Directors. Samir is a former Vice President of Rubbermaid and brings a life-time of business experience to the Board. During his tenure on the Board, Samir has served as the Vice Chair and Secretary of the Board, as well as the Chair of the Compliance Committee.
Todd Devine joined the Board of Directors in October of 2021. He brings a passion and professional expertise on the disability community to the team, serving for nearly 7 years as the Finance Director at Bear Creek Services in Rochester, MN. Todd currently serves on the Therapeutic Programs Committee and is eager to build a better world for people with disabilities.
Richard Kozlow is the Past Chair of the Board of Directors and serves as the Treasurer of the NWW Foundation. In addition, he serves on the Finance and Governance Committees. Rich retired from a career in the Financial Services industry, where he was an executive with multiple Fortune 100 firms. He started his career with a New York-based international Public Accounting firm. Rich's work took him to several major cities in the US and also included an extended tour in London where his responsibilities extended throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Rich is a Vietnam-era Veteran who served with the US Army in Korea. He is also the former Interim Chief Executive Officer of NW Works.
Joel Stopha joined the Board of Directors in 2017 and serves as the Treasurer of NW Works Board of Directors. He is currently the Chair of the Finance Committee. He also serves on the Governance Committee. Joel brings a wealth of experience from his career in the business world.
Aaron Martin joined the Board of Directors in 2020 and serves as the Chair of the Technology Committee. He also serves on the Compliance Committee. A Vice President of Information Technology at Fortessa Tableware Solutions, Aaron brings a wealth of knowledge from the IT industry to NW Works.
Katrina Pike is currently the Chair of the Compliance Committee. She joined the NW Works Board of Directors in May of 2022 and brings a strong background in Human Resources to the Board, as well as a passion for supporting vulnerable members of the community. She is currently part of the HR team at the Bank of Clarke County and has previously worked for companies such as Trex and PeerStar.
Justin Dennis joined NW Works' Board of Directors in 2020 and serves on the Compliance Committee. Justin is a Production Manager at the Trex Company and brings decades of experience in production to NW Works.
Stephanie Fincham joined our Board of Directors in 2020, bringing decades of financial experience to the team. She is currently a Vice President and Trust Officer at First Bank. Stephanie serves on the Therapeutic Programs Committee.
Andrea Koenker is a long-term board member and former Board President. A retired nurse, Andrea brings a therapeutic perspective to the Board, as well as the invaluable perspective of parent of a client. She serves on the Therapeutic Programs Committee.
Kevin Lakin joined the board in 2020 and serves on the Finance Committee and the NWW Foundation Board. Kevin has brought a great deal of investment experience to NW Works, capitalizing on his experience as the Senior Vice President and Financial Officer of Truist Wealth and Truist Investment Services respectively.
Joel Smith joined NW Works Board of Directors in 2020 and serves on the Finance Committee. Joel is a Senior Tax Manager at Michael Callahan and Associates, and brings decades of financial experience to the Board.
NWW Foundation Board
Grady W. (Skip) Philips, III, is NW Work’s Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining NW Works in January of 2023, he was the President of Winchester Medical Center and SVP for Acute Care for Valley Health.
Originally from Georgia, Skip brings more than 30 years of experience leading not-for-profit health systems and community-based healthcare in Virginia and Georgia. His collaborative approach to leadership has led to significant service expansions in the Northern Shenandoah Valley, including NW Works’ transitional employment program at Winchester Medical Center, ProjectSEARCH. Skip graduated from Emory University in Atlanta, with bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and History. He holds a Master of Health Care Administration and a Master of Business Administration, both from Georgia State University.
During his career, he has served in numerous community, church, civic and business organizations with a focus on making his community healthier and a better place to live and work. An active member of the Winchester community, Skip has served on the Board of Directors for the Sinclair Health Clinic and is currently a board member and Treasurer for the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley. He has been a member of the Healthcare Council of the Northern Capital Area Planning Committee and has been involved with Lead Virginia as a Regional Advisory Member and Alumni Panelist. Skip is also a Lifetime Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Outside of work, Skip enjoys spending time with his wife Cathy and his three adult children, traveling, hiking and experiencing new adventures and places. Skip and Cathy both support and serve through a variety of community organizations in our community.
Ellen Mason is the Secretary of the NWW Foundation Board. She is also former member of the Board of Directors and a former Board President. A former nurse, Ellen brings a personal connection to NW Works, as the parent of a former client.
Jason Aikens is a current member of the NWW Foundation, and a former President and Member of the NW Works Board of Directors. Jason is the Vice President of the Aikens Group and brings a unique combination of experience in business management, hospitality and real estate to NW Works.
Erin Drumheller joined the NW Works Foundation Board in 2022 and serves on the Therapeutic Programs Committee. As a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones, Erin is committed to serving our community and looks forward to making a positive impact in the lives of current and future NW Works Clients.
Forrest Limon joined the NWW Foundation Board in 2020. Formerly in banking with JPMorgan and now as a private investor, Forrest brings a fresh perspective to the Foundation and is eager to make a difference at NW Works.
Debera Taylor is the Director of Corporate Training for Laurel Ridge Community College. She is the past President & CEO of NW Works, Inc. serving the organization from 2019-2022. She is the former Vice President, Operations for Fortessa Tableware Solution, LLC an international company operating a foreign-trade-zone operation in Winchester, VA. In every role of her career, she has focused on people. She has coached, counseled, and developed individuals to reach their highest potential. Her work experience spans industries such as manufacturing, distribution, logistics, retail, and foodservice operations. She holds her bachelor’s degree in business, has been certified as a Human Resource professional, is a certified Development Dimensions International, Inc. instructor, holds a Blackbelt in Lean Six Sigma, VA Tech and has completed Master level courses in Adult Education. She has conducted trainings for small groups, led team development camps, and has spoken in front of audiences of over 500 attendees.
Jason Williams joined the NWW Foundation Board in 2022, bringing nearly three decades of financial services experience to the organization. As a Financial Advisor at the Myrias Group, Jason uses a team-based approach to help his clients reach their financial goals. He hopes to bring that same mentality to the NWW Foundation.
What all of us here […] want is to somehow be able to lift this burden from the shoulders of our friends who come to NW Works every day. To allow them access to their dreams to be happy, to have a fulfilling life. To feel important, to have purpose, to be self-reliant. To have a social life if that’s what they want, and to feel valued: as friends, colleagues, and members of the community.
