Meet Jim Burton, NW Works, Inc. Board of Directors
Jim is a seasoned healthcare technology executive with over two decades of experience in leading and transforming healthcare IT organizations. As an experienced leader, he has a proven track record of building high-performing teams, fostering cultures of excellence, and driving business results.
Throughout his career, Jim has held various leadership roles in healthcare organizations, including CIO at Valley Health System, Texas Health Resources, and East Jefferson General Hospital. He has successfully led complex IT transformations, developed and executed strategic plans, and driven innovation in healthcare technology.
As a mentor and leader, Jim is known for his ability to inspire and develop high-performing leaders. He has a passion for promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace and has received recognition for his leadership and innovation.
Jim served on the Board of Directors for NW Works from 2018-2021 and rejoined the board in 2024. As a director, he leverages his expertise to help individuals with disabilities achieve their full potential in the workforce.
Jim holds a Master's degree in Education, Management Focus from Cambridge College and is an active member of the College of Healthcare Management Executives (CHIME) and the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMMS).
