NDEAM Spotlight: Agazzi

An NDEAM Spotlight graphic on Agazzi is shown. Text reads, "Agazzi has poured his heart into his work. He takes his time and is eager to learn." A picture of Agazzi, a Caucasian man, is shown. Agazzi is cutting up steak on a red cutting board.

Happy National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)! This NDEAM Spotlight shines on Agazzi! 🌟

Through long-term employment at Shenandoah University with dining service providers Sodexo (former) and Aramark (current), Agazzi has gained valuable work experience, built confidence, and maximized his independence. Agazzi has worked at Buzzin’s and now Moe’s; one of SU’s newest dining options!

Agazzi’s responsibilities in the dining halls include wiping down tables, restocking napkins & silverware, and preparing food. Recently, Agazzi has begun reading recipes aloud and taking the initiative to make both guacamole and salsa. Agazzi’s culinary skills are increasing as he learns measurements, continues to follow food safety protocols, and takes steps to make different foods. By taking on new responsibilities and developing his independence, Agazzi is thriving in his role.
